Who would think that cauliflower and broccoli with a few extra ingredients - could taste this amazing.
A great side dish to serve alongside the main dish of your choice. Also great as a tasty snack.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp light olive oil
2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp dried chilli flakes
2 heaped tbsp soft white breadcrumbs
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
juice of 1/2 lemon
200g (7oz) cauliflower, broken into florets
300g (10 1/2oz) broccoli, broken into florets
good pinch of salt and pepper
Serving: 4 (as a side dish)
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 35-40 minutes
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6.
2. Mix all the ingredients together and spread out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
3. Roast for 35-40 minutes until crunchy and starting to colour around the edges.
4. Make sure sure you scoop up all the crispy roasted breadcrumbs before serving with your favourite main course.
Top tip: Any robust greens work well in this dish, so try adding Brussels Sprouts cut in half, to add some extra nuttiness to this side dish.
